Art for the sake of art
The moment I saw an article about someone called Amita Chandekar, I was stunned. Here’s a ravishing, long legged lass with a hidden passion, and I’d never heard of her before. Shame on Manoj.
Acting isn’t the only passion for Amita Chandekar. The long-legged lass likes spending her free time with a paper and pencil in hand. [Link]
I got over my disappointment and kept reading…
Amita recalls the time her brother challenged her to sketch Jesus Christ for him. “He had a very tiny picture of Jesus, and asked me to copy it.
His point was, if I could do that, I would be good at my art. I drew the sketch and showed it to him, and that’s when he started appreciating my talent.” [Link]
Amita draws pictures of Jesus. Secularism 1. Fundamentalism 0.
And like all long-legged lasses do, Amita has some advice for us long legged asses:
Has she ever thought of holding an exhibition? “No, since acting takes up all the time, I haven’t really considered displaying my work. I like watching the work of other artists — it’s a gift that everyone should cultivate…” [Link]
Exactly, sweetie. And so, strictly in the spirit of her advice, we present you this picture.
Take a deep breath, and chant with me: “What a piece of work!”

PS: I vehemently deny that this whole post was just a verbose excuse for posting an Ileana picture. Shame on you for suggesting that. Why would I have to do that?
Here, let me post another one without any verbiage. Eat your words, please. (after you are done chanting, otherwise Ms. Chandekar might be offended).

* Repeats “What a piece of work!” 100 times..
Ah, finally someone who wasn’t fooled by the Amita picture and decided to come in.
Welcome, and I am still chanting, btw.
